The Professional Dermaplaning Course provides beauty and skincare professionals with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to perform safe, effective and professional dermaplaning treatments.
Dermaplaning is a controlled manual exfoliation technique that removes superficial dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, leaving the skin visibly smoother, brighter and better prepared for professional skincare treatments.
The course combines flexible online learning with supervised, hands-on practical training. Learners are guided through correct blade handling, skin preparation, treatment sequencing, client assessment, contraindications, infection-control procedures and post-treatment care.

- Learners currently completing a recognised beauty or somatology programme
- Luvité Professional Partner Programme learners
- Applicants with suitable prior skincare training or industry experience
Proof of relevant training or experience may be requested before practical attendance. Applicants without formal skincare qualifications may contact the Skin Science Institute for an individual eligibility assessment.
Training format
Online theory: Complete the theoretical component at your own pace before attending the practical session.
Practical training: A supervised half-day practical session focusing on treatment setup, blade control, technique, safety and the completion of a professional dermaplaning treatment.
Certification
Learners receive a Certificate of Completion after successfully completing:
